Ok this is about to sound bad... but

I genuinely think I’m capable of anything.

Not just me, I think anyone can do anything, especially when it comes to creativity.
Once you’ve gone through all the obvious places, it’s kind of impossible not to end up in new ones.
And when you fill your brain with enough ideas and references, it will make connections, even without your permission. That’s just being human.
That said, I can do anything.
Except math. Definitely not math.

Crocs are going out shoes

Not house shoes. Not airport shoes. Not “just in case” shoes.
Actual. Going. Out. Shoes.
But only if they’re platform Crocs.
If you wear regular ones to go out, just know I’m judging you.

"Advertising can’t make culture.
That’s what a teacher once told me when I studied communication.

But I don’t think so.
When I heard that, I immediately thought about how, as a woman, I’ve lived the beauty standards shaped by society and pushed by advertising.

And those standards have changed a lot in the last few years.
Which means they can keep changing.
And as a copywriter, I know I can be part of that.

That’s not using culture, that’s being part of making it.

How I Create

Out of all the creative processes I use, one always sticks: questioning the rules, especially the ones no one even remembers making.

We move through the world so deep in autopilot, we forget how much we take for granted.

And sure, that’s human. But it’s creative to question it.

“When you reach for the stars you may not quite get one, but you won't come up with a handful of mud either.”

ok, I swear I’m not taking credit. LEO BURNETT SAID THIS BEFORE YOU SUE ME!
but I proudly declare myself the biggest fan of this quote.
